“I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now; let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”      ~Ettiene De Grellet

As you can imagine, in an economic situaton such as the one that we’re currently facing, many people find themselves turning to available resources for help with basic needs.  Most mornings, the line at Anderson Interfaith Ministries (AIM) is between 35 and 45 people long when we open the door at 9:00 a.m. for food assistance.

Last Wednesday, a local business who wishes to remain anonymous, delivered hot sausage, egg and cheese biscuits and orange juice to the waiting crowd.  They also presented each person with a decorative bag filled with a dozen cookies that were baked by the employees of that business.

These items were well received on a cold winter morning!  Many people in the line wanted to know who was responsible for these gifts, and we simply told them that they were caring people doing acts of kindness for others and that the best way to thank them was to pay it forward.   afs

Note:   Thank you to the business and employees that did this!  It was a pleasure to see the smiles that you were responsible for making happen.
