I had to take a picture of this Sago Palm since I had never seen one that was so broad and large.  The ones I’ve seen around here are small and grown in containers to bring in for the winter.  Until I returned home and did some research, I didn’t know that this is a female and that the ball in the center is a seed or pod sack.  It was interesting to learn about this palm and to note the differences in the genders of the plants.
